![]() ![]() More importantly, it opens a lot of doors for larger scale design facilitation. This approach may not be ideal permanent workflow but does the trick for representation and as a placeholder for proper families to be built at a later time. Unless the geometry you are attempting to import is super organized, this method may fail. oftentimes iterative SketchUp modeling is a messy process. However by going to Edit Family dimension parameters, on/off parameters, material parameters, and other constraints can be added post-process. these families are NOT parametric, meaning they do not have adjustable dimensions or on/off visibility features.this approach could also work for larger scale uses like full building massings for design coordination and "tracing" with Revit elements. Download the data and in Autodesk Revit, open up DuplexA.rvt and use the FME Exporter to export it to DuplexA.rvz in.cleaning up the SketchUp geometry will result in smaller and more efficient Revit families.Sketchup Model to Revit Material changes. Please, watch this tutorial video for importing SketchUp files into Revit. SketchUp makes it easy to export your SketchUp files to Revit and import Revit files into your SketchUp models. I added three Video tutorials to import the Sketchup model to Revit Family for your reference. So i export my revit file as an artlantis file using the artlantis plugin. Sketchup 3D Warehouse provides a great library for designers and manufacturers. Collaboration BIM, via Revit, allows virtual, cloud-based collaboration and coordination at a multidisciplinary level to share and manage the built asset’s data. Sketchup to Revit Exporter is a data exchange tool which creates native Revit families/Projects from SketchUp Components. Convert Revit to sketchup FEATURES Optimize Revit geometry for workable (push/pull-able) output. ![]() Preserving components and groups in Revit families with Smart mesh-based family instancing. I have a Revit model which has a sketchup model linked/imported as the context. Meanwhile in a SketchUp 3D model, manual assistance is needed to update any changes throughout the model, especially when exporting to 2D. SketchUp materials can be mapped to Revit materials. there are several ways to do this using default export and import tools in SketchUp and Revit, however the Dynamo approach is much quicker and bypasses the handling of multiple file formats. I have a uni assignent due and need this to work. ![]()
